class outing

Hello everyone,

We're having a class outing to coincide with O2's dance party. It is also an excuse to get our asses back to school and catch up! Go check out the hostel and torment the noobies.

Date: 6 Feb, Friday
Time: 630pm - meet @ greenwood for dinner first, then to school for boogie.

Who's going liao: Mer, Gladys, Nat, oh-so-lovely ct rep, Louisa, Melt, Ms Oon, semi-class outing attendee.

To prevent the sadness/cui-ness of the lao beijing outing, please sms me if you are coming by 3 Feb, Tuesday. I SWEAR I WILL RESERVE SEATS FOR ALL.

many many can't make it on the 27th. like 10 people.

to cut it down to 7 people, we're changing it to 26th December, boxing day.

Pot luck present, 10-20 buck budget. don't forget to bring.

**as the only people who replied have stated that they are not coming, i'm assuming that the rest of you who haven't replied ARE INDEED COMING. So PLEASE TELL ME NOW OR I WILL DELIVER EXTRA ROTTEN FOOD TO YOUR HOUSE! ok i won't, but please be responsible =D


Ok, no one replied for food, so people who are bringing food will be as follows:

fingers : mer and celle
deserts : jo and mel
thirsters are by gladys, with ice. =D
joel and tony bring munchables (chips. hahahaha)

everyone is free to bring food that they are proud of, or if they simply wanna contribute!

if you're unable to provide the food, please tell nat or me ASAP, and not like one day before the party, cos you know, that's nasty. we need to find replacements. anyone with other suggestions for food, better tell us by monday, for party is a week away.

so my final words shall be, this is meant to be a happy gathering. lets make this possible, a memorable christmas celebration with 04 awaits.

Well, weiliang ain't around to help us organize christmas party,

so i'm helping this time, and pulled nat, the other ct rep, into it as well.

Ok this is what we've come up with so far.


Venue: The Glady house (although she's agreed to it, she's gonna be so angry with me for this, for it sounds very much like the brady bunch.)

Date: 27th December. This is to accommodate weiliang's release from camp.



Presents will be pot luck like last year. budget also about 10-20 bucks? credit crunch people.
Dinner, as always. So i need people to bring food. Pot luck again.

Hello (: While Weiliang is preparing for his enlistment, I came across Eamonn McCabe - Writers' Rooms online! And if you are too lazy to click on the link, it's basically a project that features a series of photographs that illustrate "the working environments of novelists, biographers and poets". Somehow, I got interested in your working environments! (: Like, aren't you interested to see Kien's gargantuan room in Vietnam? Or Lou's clutter that resulted in the invasion of her brother's room as well? Or frisbees adorning Johnson's wall? Or something? Hence, I propose the following project (that disguises the selfish intention of satisfying my curiosity):

Eh. Basically, please send a picture of your room to me! It will eventually end up in a slideshow that is probably accompanied with horribly catchy music like Hot N' Cold or something! (:

• If you don't have a room, a picture of your desk is fine! (:
• If you don't have a desk, uhh... Decide something!
• If you don't have a camera, there's alternatives like webcam, handphone cameras and whatnot! And if worse come to worst, you can use Paint! (:
• If you want to draw our attention to specific parts of your room/desk, please feel free to add captions or annotations!

Right. Honestly, I have never made a video or slideshow. However, it shouldn't be that hard! Also, I don't trust myself to do summary-of-four-years-together videos! But this is different! (: And I'm really excited about it! Haha! Of course, I understand if you are unwilling to send in a picture because of privacy issues or the presence of questionable articles. But. If possible, I would like to finish this by the end of the year! By then, even Lou, Tis and other lucky-long-holiday people should be back!
